About me
“This life is mine alone. So I have stopped asking people for directions to places they’ve never been.”
-Glennon Doyle
Oh, hi!
I’ve always been one of those front-row-in-class people—you know, the ones who ask question after question and keep the conversation going even after the bell rings. The ones you roll your eyes at and secretly want in your study group. That’s me.
Curiosity has always been my compass, and action my fuel. I had a fire in me from a young age—my mom once said, “I just hope she goes in the right direction, because there’s no stopping her.” She wasn’t wrong.
Since then, I’ve poured that energy into building a big career at IBM, launching a real estate business from scratch, competing in triathlons, hiking icy mountains in Poland wearing almost nothing (long story), and tackling whatever challenge lit me up. From the outside, it probably looked like a highlight reel. But here’s the truth behind the curtain: I’ve also walked away from a lot.
I quit my chemistry major after topping the class—because I didn’t care what was happening in those test tubes.
I left IBM at my peak—because I knew there was something more.
I gave up drinking—because I didn’t want to numb the hard anymore.
I sold my business—because the idea of going backward instead of forward just wasn’t in me.
Each time I let go of a “should,” I stepped closer to something more real. More joyful. More me.
And in that process—of doing, quitting, unlearning, reimagining—I’ve discovered something powerful: the life you crave isn’t found by following someone else’s roadmap. It’s created when you tune into your own knowing and give yourself permission to design something that feels bold, true, and fully yours.
If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or a little lost—here’s the deal. I don’t have your answers. But I do have a lifetime of study, insight, and hard-won wisdom in business, wellness, and personal development. I’ve got some pretty great study notes, and I’d be honored to share them with you.
So if you’re ready to quit what’s draining you and build something real—something alive—I’m here to walk (or run) beside you.
Let’s create a life you don’t want to escape.
xoxo,
Martha
